MODERN BODY SHAPING
Body sculpting, modern body shaping, is a combination of precise liposuction and “remodelling” of muscles by adding or removing one’s own fat, which enhances the natural contours of the muscles. It requires excellent knowledge of anatomy and brilliant technical skills of plastic surgery.
MUDr. Martin Boháč received the title of Total Definer Master from the master and founder of body sculpting and a world leader in this field, Alfredo Hoyos from Colombia. Thanks to the acquired skills, aesthetic sense and the use of the most modern equipment, he provides his clients with world-class quality.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BODY SCULPTING
BODY SCULPTING
-
Body sculpting, modern body shaping, is primarily an individual approach combining precise liposuction and “remodelling” the muscle with one’s own fat. Thanks to this, we can remove fat from one place and distribute it (lipotransfer) to the area that needs to be shaped – this creates natural contours of the muscles. The result is the desired, sculpted curves, a defined body, as well as an overall sporty appearance.

Before this procedure, it is important to perform either a basic or complete internal medical preoperative examination, depending on whether the procedure will be performed under local or general anaesthesia.
-
Whether the procedure is performed under general or local anaesthesia largely depends on the extent of the procedure. In smaller areas, such as the double chin or knees, the procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia. Larger or multiple areas are better corrected under general anaesthesia, for greater comfort for both the patient and the surgeon.
-
The goal of body sculpting, a new form of liposuction, is not to remove as much fat as possible as was once the case, but rather to effectively remove it in a way that creates the desired body shape. For full-body body sculpting, the duration of anaesthesia can be up to 4 hours.
-
A suitable candidate for body sculpting is a healthy person with a more or less stable body weight, BMI below 32, good skin elasticity, who also wants to shape areas of the body where there is excess fat that he/she cannot influence in any other way.
-
In women, we most often remove fat from the abdomen, double chin, or lower limbs. In men, the abdominal area also dominates, as well as the breasts and lower back.
-
Body sculpting is performed under general or local anaesthesia, through small, several millimetre wide cuts in the skin, which are positioned so that they are as invisible as possible. A tumescent solution is applied through these cuts at the beginning of the procedure, which facilitates the suction of fat using cannulas. During body sculpting, it is also possible to apply ultrasound, radiofrequency or other forms of energy, which is used to tighten loose skin. At the end of body sculpting, compression underwear is applied to shape the corrected areas and ensure an optimal postoperative healing process. This underwear is then worn for several weeks, even months, to achieve maximum effect.
-
For minor corrections, recovery takes a few days, for larger body sculpting it can take a few weeks.
