LASER TREATMENT OF HAIR FOLLICLES

  • It is not necessary to cut your hair or shave before the procedure.

  • The treatment has the best effect if male pattern baldness does not last longer than 8 years. As long as it lasts, we can extend the life of the hair that is present, but we cannot save the hair that has already fallen out.

  • If the hair follicles – the openings from which hair grows – are no longer preserved in the area where the hair has fallen out, it is not possible to start hair growth in this area. In this case, only a hair transplant will help. The doctor will decide on the suitability of treatment after a trichoscopy.

HAIR TRANSPLANTS

  • Hair root transplant is the most effective treatment for hair thinning and hair loss. This procedure consists of extracting hair follicles from the back of the scalp and inserting them into areas of thinning hair. It is literally “transplanting” hair roots from one part of the body to another. The hair on the back of the head consists of donor dominant hair, which has the ability to grow throughout life. These follicles do not lose their ability to grow hair after they are “planted” in areas of thinning hair.

  • Anyone with an adequate amount of donor hair follicles at the back of the head is a good candidate for hair transplantation. While in the past, many patients did not qualify as suitable candidates for hair transplant, today almost anyone with a hair loss problem can undergo hair transplant thanks to the development of modern approaches and technologies.

  • Hair transplants are mostly performed under local anaesthesia, i.e. local numbness. This is an outpatient procedure in which individual hair follicles are first obtained, either from the scalp or from other hairy parts of the body. After their processing, they are carefully applied to the recipient site where they are to be grafted. After the procedure, it is important to follow postoperative recommendations to achieve maximum effect and also to prevent complications.

  • The level of pain after a hair transplant highly depends on the individual’s pain threshold. As with any surgical procedure, there is some form of postoperative pain, but we are able to relieve it with medication until it subsides on its own. This usually occurs after a few days, when even the maximum postoperative swelling disappears.

  • In order to be able to create a certain layer of hair on the head, it is necessary to have a source from which to obtain it. Within one organism, either hair or other body hair can be used in case of a shortage. Unfortunately, hair cannot be transplanted from other donors.

  • Men more often undergo hair transplant due to a higher inter-individual predisposition to hair loss. However, this is not a purely male procedure; there is a certain group of women for whom hair transplant also helps when medical treatment fails.

  • If a man does not have enough of his own hair, it is possible to use hair from areas of the body where there is enough of it as a replacement for the scalp. However, it is no longer a full-fledged hair replacement.

  • Transplanted hair is literally “replanted” within one organism. After their transplantation, hair grafts may not grow, rather than be rejected, given that they are the body’s own and do not come from a donor.

  • Transplanted hair will temporarily fall out, approximately 2 weeks after the procedure. They will start growing again after 3 months, and the result can be evaluated approximately six months after the procedure. The survival rate of transplanted grafts is over 95%.

HAIR FOLLICLE TATTOOING

  • Hair follicle tattooing is not as painful as traditional tattooing because finer needles are used and the ink is applied in shallower layers of the skin. However, since the level of sensitivity varies from person to person, some clients may experience mild pain or discomfort during this procedure.

  • The length of the procedure and the number of sessions required depend on the extent of the tattoo. The first procedure usually takes approximately 2–4 hours, depending on the size of the tattooed area. A base layer is usually applied during the first session. This is followed, two weeks apart, by a second and third session to increase the density, complete details, and enhance the appearance.

  • Yes, tattoos are done completely without anaesthesia. It is possible that the client will experience slight discomfort at the beginning of the tattoo while the scalp gets used to the sensation. Typically, the level of discomfort and sensitivity is lower in older clients than in younger clients. However, it is very individual.

  • It is important to take care of your scalp after getting a tattoo, just like the skin on other parts of your body. It is very important to protect your scalp from sunlight and use creams with SPF.

  • The shade of the pigment is chosen according to the client’s phototype, skin colour and hair colour, so that the final result is as natural as possible. The colour intensity of tattooed hair follicles gradually fades. If the client’s hair is turning grey and he keeps it short, the result will still be very natural, as the bottom of the hair is always darker than the lengths of the hair.

  • In the case of progressive thinning and hair loss, the procedure can be repeated after a while to replenish these areas and increase the density.

  • This method can be considered a permanent tattoo; however, the intensity of the colour gradually fades.
